About PHONT Live

Almost every video is subtitled today.

But at the most important days of the year, your conference, your summit, your screening, it all disappears. No captions. No translation. No record of what was said.

How it started

We started PHONT building emotional, expressive subtitles for video content. AI-powered audio analysis meets parametric design. Subtitles that convey not just what's said, but how it's said.

Then we noticed something obvious: online, everyone uses subtitles. But at live events, conferences, film screenings, summits, there are none. The most important communication moments have the least accessibility.

What happened next

In late 2025, World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain asked us if we'd be down to build live transcription and translation for their 2026 programme. We said yes, built PHONT Live in weeks, deployed it, and it worked.

Once we had the transcript running live, we realized there's so much more you can do with it. Instant social posts, speaker analytics, press briefings, audience translation via QR. The transcript became the starting point for everything.

Since then, conferences and cultural institutions across Europe have been reaching out. We are scaling what started as one event into a platform for any stage, any language, any audience.
